Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I get my carpets cleaned?
Carpets absorb all sorts of nasty things including chemical contamination, outdoor pollutants, pesticides, biocontaminants, allergens, volatile organic compounds, combustion products, asbestos, dust mites, bacteria, grease and oil deposits, sand, soil and food particles.
Regular carpet cleaning will help to remove these contaminants leading to a healthier element for you and your family.
How often should my carpets be cleaned?
For people with allergies or breathing-related conditions such as asthma, doctors recommend carpets, be professionally cleaned every 3 to 6 months. For general carpet cleaning on an average use residential carpet, we suggest cleaning every 12 months.
Are you insured ?
Yes, £1,000,000 Public Liability Insurance.
What is your cancellation policy?
If cancelling with less then 24 hours notice we do reserve the right to charge full price
Do I move the furniture?
Certain items of furniture can be moved, but are limited due to health and safety legislation. As such, if you have any items of furniture that you definitely need moved, it is best to do this prior to my arrival e.g. wardrobes and double beds. If you are moving furniture, we do recommend allowing 24 hours before moving them back onto the carpets.
What should I do before you arrive
It would be very helpful if prior to arrival you can remove items on the floor from areas to be cleaned e.g. shoes, toys etc. Also, if you have valuable items on any pieces of furniture that will require moving, could you please move these to a safe location. Please move any heavily items.
I live in a flat without a lift, is that a problem?
All professional carpet cleaning machines are very big and very heavy, so getting them up staircases can be problematic. Normally, getting them up one flight of stairs (12/13 steps) is fine, but any more than that I might not be able to complete the job, so please do let us know in advance.
Can you guarantee to remove stains?
This is something I cannot guarantee. Due to the amount of variables e.g. nature of the stain, type of carpet, age of the stain, if you've tried treating it yourself etc, no professional carpet cleaner can ever give you an absolute guarantee on stains.
Can you clean caravans and/or static homes?
Due to the inherent dampness in caravans and static homes the hot water extraction process is not recommended because of the prolonged drying time and how this can effect air quality.
Can you remove pet hair?
The hot water extraction process will remove a considerable amount of pet hair, but cannot guarantee removing it all. Only regular vacuuming will do this.
Is Stain Protector and Carpet Conditioner included in the price?
Unless specifically requested, the price quoted will be for deep cleaning and stain treatment, and would not include any carpet maintenance treatments. This can be taken as optional extras on the day.
How long will my carpet take to dry?
Drying time will vary depending on the type of cleaning process used, if I use the DRY CARPET CLEANING METHOD carpets are dry in under 30 minutes, the hot water method will mean your carpets can take up to 48 hours to dry
